Welcome to Vale
The sweet smell of apples travels along the mountain. The long wooden bridge that spans the cool river to the north is a sunbaked golden brown that seems to welcome you. Tall trees seem to let off inaudible melodies, leaves rustling in the wind, and a valley opens before you.
Welcome to Vale.
Vale is a small town, founded by likewise small people. Halflings started the northern settlement, and though mainly humans have made Vale their home, the peaceful and remote location has become an invitation to races of all kinds. Vale is home to the Abbey of Virtue, a place where one go go to learn the 8 paths of virtue, and the Brewery which produces fine wine and ale. It is one of the most secure, though remote, locations in Altherra as it is surrounded by mountains and the path to the valley is arduous, to say the least. This is not to say that life in Vale is always pleasant; packs of wolves have been known to roam the valley for a meal, and one of the neighboring valleys aptly named Webwood is host to.. larger than average arachnids.
