Throughout the progression of your character, he or she will grow from their respective backgrounds – be it a pickpocket, a farmer, a street urchin, a hired sword or whatever it might be – into a hero.. or possibly a villain. Along the way you will be confronted with dangerous enemies and denizens of Altherra – old magicks, new gods, and unknown foes. And of these encounters, should you prove victorious (or cunning), you will gain the ability to perform great feats of power. How you choose to use this new found power, though, is entirely up to you.
Feats and Abilities
Each character class starts with at least one ability. As your character progresses in the world, and participates in Quests and Role-Playing, you will be rewarded for your actions. The rewards of your labors are, for the most part, automatically accumulated through your experiences; defeating difficult monsters, and Role-playing excellence will result in passive accumulation of Feats. Participation in Quests, well executed villainy, and overall excellence are also warrant for Feat points.
These take a long time to add up. Once you’re able to purchase an ability, meaning you’ve accumulated enough Feats, you will be able to cash-in. Be warned – the Abilities are uncommon, and in most cases, unique. Alternatively, Once you have enough Feats under your belt, another player may teach you an Ability; however, the Feat requirements necessary for taught Abilities have a minimum level, they do not have a maximum value and are at the discretion of the teacher.
